Enhance your balance beam setup with our New 4’x4’ Beam mat. This mat provides additional protection around the beam fillers, meeting USA Gymnastics event requirements.
Crafted with the same hands-sewn precision and high-quality materials that define our brand, this mat is built to deliver exceptional durability and long-lasting performance. Featuring hook-and-loop fasteners on the top of two sides, it easily connects to the 416-227 mat providing a secure and seamless mat system. The previous end mats for the balance beam 416-197 (8’x15′ 6″x12cm) were changed to 416-227 (8’x15′ 6″x12cm) with additional Velcro on the top, so they could be securely connected to the new 4’x4’ Beam mats.
*Per the 2025-2026 USA Gymnastics rules and policies – beam dismount matting requirements must include a minimum of 4 feet by 4 feet of padding between the end of the beam and the under-beam matting.
This mat measures 48 inches long by 48 inches wide and 12 centimeters thick.
Meets USA Gymnastics Event Requirements
This mat extends landing protection around the beam filler, providing athletes with the coverage required for competition. Approved by USA Gymnastics for use at official events, it’s an essential addition for compliant beam setup.

Complete Balance Beam Mat System
A complete balance beam mat system is composed of a Beam Filler System, two 416-197 mats, two 416-227 mats, and four 416-229 mats. It also utilizes 4 – 40” Hook and Loop Straps (45069) and 2 – 48” Hook and Loop Straps (45074). This configuration creates full coverage around the beam and meets USA Gymnastics Event Specifications.
